Leonard was by nature a very modest man. He was a very intelligent man with an exceptional work ethic. He retired at 86 years young. He continued to set his alarm for 7 am every morning for many years after that...Always needing a project....meticulous with every detail. Forever a dad… Always there to support and care for his children. He always had a humorous analogy to reassure you. He was an avid reader....with cigar in hand he would spend hours with a good book. A devout Catholic. His focus in his life was family, serving God and work. Leonard went to church every Sunday with money in his pocket for the homeless people outside the church, as well as, his favorite candle lady. He was very proud to be one of the last of the greatest generation. In 1943 he was a student at Harvard Business School when WWII started. He joined the Army Air Corp serving his country as a B24 pilot followed by 19 years in the Air National Guard. It was love at first sight when he met his wife, Helen. They married when he returned from overseas…not before Helen gave him a nudge and said are you going to marry me or what? Before you knew it they had 5 children. Life would take them on a cross country adventure from their roots in Cambridge, Massachusetts to finally settling in Woodland Hills, California. He was loved and respected by so many and he will be missed even more.
