Tim Anderson was born in Lombard, Illinois to Leona and Robert Anderson. He was the youngest of four children, Steve, Christine and Carol. While growing up in Lombard, at the age of 5, he began invaluable life-long friendships with Scott Miller and Brian Passow. Tim was fortunate to have made many great friends over the years both in Illinois and in California.
In 1990, while bartending at Connie’s Pizza in Westmont, IL, he met the love of his life, co-worker Sue Stockwell. On New Year’s Eve 1990 they had their first date attending a concert starring his friend Elvis-impersonator Rick Saucedo. From then on Sue and Tim were a couple. They moved to Woodland Hills in January, 1992 and were married in Lake Tahoe on December 19th of that year. Upon arriving in California, after many interesting hair choices (to be fair, most were in the 70’s) Tim began searching for a stylist. He found Jackie Bradley who became both his hairdresser and a great friend who kept him looking handsome. In February of 2011 Sue and Tim moved to their home in Chatsworth, CA.
Tim spent his life in the hospitality industry, most recently at the Universal City Hilton, as the first friendly face folks saw upon arriving. Tim received the lion’s share of positive comment cards from guests, old and young, as well as praise from many co-workers. Early on, in between hospitality jobs, Tim enjoyed dabbling in acting in a couple commercials, music videos, extra work on Baywatch, Diagnosis Murder and the movies Trancers 3 and Forest Gump.
In his younger days Tim enjoyed cars, shooting skeet, playing tennis, golf and billiards. He loved Sue‘s version of Grandma Ethel‘s chocolate cake with butterscotch frosting, Elvis music, driving his convertible Corvette, playing with their German Shepherd Tia (until her passing in November 2022) and caring for the birds, squirrels, geckos and other wildlife in their backyard sanctuary. He will be greatly missed by Sue, his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the World Wildlife Fund or your local animal shelter.
