

Alan S. Kaplan, of Sharon and Boynton Beach, Florida, died on April 30, 2025 after a short illness at the age of 75. Alan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Leslie (Kachinsky), his adoring daughter Alyssa Abrams, and her husband David of Norwood, and his cherished grandsons, Mason Abrams of Norwood and Ethan Abrams of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by a sister, Jerilyn Glassman of Norwood.
Alan was born in Brockton on August 6, 1949 to his devoted parents, Mollie (Clamon) and Nathan Kaplan, of blessed memory.
Alan was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1967, University of Massachusetts, and Suffolk University School of Law, where he served as a staff and senior staff member of the law review. After serving as a judicial clerk to the Superior Court of Delaware, Alan practiced law in Brockton for 42 years, with the firms Goldberg & Eskenas, and Eskenas & Kaplan, P.C.
Alan was a long-time member of Temple Beth Emunah in Brockton where he served as president of the Brotherhood and member of the Board of Directors. An avid golfer, he was a member of Thorny Lea Golf Club for 35 years. He enjoyed golf during his vacations and winters in Florida.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
A memorial gathering will immediately follow at Thorny Lea Golf Club, 159 Torrey Street, Brockton. Shiva will be private.
