Born in Boston, Honey was the beloved daughter of Rebecca Shreizer and Julius Kopans.
Honey was the devoted wife of William Kepnes, with whom she shared 60 blissful and beautiful years of marriage before his passing eighteen years ago. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. They traveled the world - especially by cruise ship - and joyfully split their time between Siesta Key, Florida, and Marstons Mills, Massachusetts.
Honey is survived by her loving daughters, Marcia Kepnes and Laurie Kepnes, and her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Kepnes-Guy and her husband David, Julie Yeardie and her husband Web, and Rebecca Kepnes-Letourneau and her husband Jason. She was adored by her great-grandchildren, Kaila and Collette Guy and Zayn Yeardie, and by her son-in-law, Fred Letourneau. Honey was predeceased by her siblings Ricky Kepnes, Jack Colbert, and David Kopans.
Family was the heart of Honey’s world. She was happiest surrounded by those she loved, and nothing brought her more joy than watching her family grow through the generations. She loved Frank Sinatra, her country (stars and stripes forever) and was a passionate and loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. Honey was also passionate about knitting, crocheting, reading, and collecting teddy bears - each hobby reflecting her warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit.
A Graveside Service and Burial will take place at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, at 1:45 PM on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. A Celebration of Life gathering is being planned for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinerschildrens.org.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. She is happily back together with the love of her life, William, whom she missed every day.
