

Arlene “Mimi” H. (Evans) Rosenbaum of Dedham, previously of Waterbury CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 97 years of age. Daughter of the late Sadie (Phillips) Evans and Max Evans. Wife of the late Norman H. Rosenbaum. Beloved mother of Irna A. Goodman and her husband William Goodman of S. Easton MA; and the late Sheldon Rosenbaum and surviving wife Zina Rosenbaum. Cherished grandmother of Emily Goodman, Jaclyn & Kyle Duggan, Lisa & Jonathan Liff, Benjamin Rosenbaum and Zachary Rosenbaum. Great-grandmother of Stella & Griffin Duggan and Madelyn & Wesley Liff. Sister of the late Thelma Reiss, the late Sylvia Zeider, and the late Eleanor Glick.
Arlene was born in New Haven, CT on July 24, 1928. She was the youngest of 4 sisters. She was married young at the age of 19 and moved to Waterbury, CT where she raised her family. She became actively involved in 2 Jewish women’s organizations: ORT and Hadassah. Arlene was also very involved in the Sisterhood at Beth El Synagogue in Waterbury. She loved summertime at Ridgewood club, playing mahjong and socializing with her many dear friends.
Family was everything to Arlene, and it showed through her delicious meals and desserts which she loved to make for everyone. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children and 5 grandchildren. Arlene was also blessed to spend very special time with her 4 great-grandchildren who always put a big smile on her face. She was a huge fan of UCONN girls basketball and loved to wear her good luck Patriots fleece pants to watch the football games.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. A private family burial will be on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the United Jewish Center Cemetery, 210 Gray’s Bridge Road, Brookfield, CT.
Shiva and a celebration of her life, will be held following the funeral service on Friday, October 24th at NewBridge on the Charles, 7000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham.
