Beloved husband of Freda (Morris) Dobro. Devoted father of Ellen Tobin, Matthew Dobro and the late Michael Dobro and Coranth Gryphon. Loving brother of Betty Baker and the late Molly Churwin. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Colin, Ava and Nathan.
David was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He served aboard LCT’s during the D Day Invasion, where he landed on Omaha Beach. Later in the war, he served aboard the USS Dayton.
Services will be held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Sunday June 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment Sharon Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108.
