Edie was the matriarch of the family. She was loved by all who knew her, especially her family, her extended family and her friends. Edie’s bond to her extended family in Massachusetts never changed even though she moved to Florida 3 years ago.
Edie enjoyed going to a casino, going out to eat and going to Hadassah events. She was the queen game player of Scrabble and Rummikub. Little things made her happy, even just watching her favorite TV shows, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and chatting with others.
In her younger life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Dave, and after Dave’s passing she continued her world traveling aspirations as long as she was able to.
Edie worked as a bookkeeper into her early 80’s and provided volunteer service for many organizations.
Edie was always ahead of her time, had a positive attitude and was an adventurous, courageous women. She loved and inspired all who knew her.
Her family also wants to give thanks to Cornerstone Assisted Living in Canton MA, and Cabana at Jensen Dunes Assisted living in Jensen Beach Florida for their love, support and care during these last few years. They also want to thank Vitas Hospice in Port St. Lucie, Florida for the comfort and care that they provided in her final days.
Every family member had a special but different relationship with her, as they all worked together in their own ways giving her their love and companionship like a well-oiled machine. She will be missed by everyone.
