I feel privileged to have called Eric my friend. 

I am the Executive Director at Interfaith Social Services and Eric served on our board of directors for the past 5 years. 

He had so much compassion in his heart. But he didn't just say compassionate things, he backed them up with actions. He was always the first to volunteer for projects and had such a thoughtful approach to serving others. He was so filled with empathy. Sometimes when we'd talk about programs and the needs that clients were experiencing you could see him feeling their pain. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time. The world lost a wonderful man!

So happy to have known you my friend. We had many great times starting as far back as Kindergarten and all way through high school.  I always admired how smart you were and envious of your natural musical ability, which I had none. You were always a great and loyal friend, I will miss you and always keep you in my heart.

What other 16 year old would catch the garter at your wedding…..that boy…what a character, what a joy.

When I think of Eric, I see him with Jen out enjoying the lake, sometimes pulling up with lively conversation, or passing by with the sun on his face, a hardy wave and big warm smile, expressing and sharing a great joy in life. 

If there was a rocking band echoing out on 4th of July it probably came from the Brown house and they would invite you in. Always gracious and welcoming. 

One of my favorite early neighborhood memories is Easter at The Brown’s,  including an egg roll when Alec was small - big hearted, warm, loving people that enriched our community with their vibrancy.  

Those remembered are never lost. 

May you all be comforted by your memories and the warm light from a life well lived and loved -Courtney Nestler and the boys

Eric always had a smile and best sense of humor ever.

We enjoyed such wonderful times together over the years.  Your life was cut short way too soon with all the plans you had for the future for your “ Brown Town “ family.

I had the wonderful fortune of meeting and working with Eric at the Interfaith Food Pantry.  He was a great, great man--so optimistic and full of kindness to all.  During our many conversations he talked about his family a great deal and you could tell how much he loved them and being with them.  Please accept my deepest condolences for your and our great loss.
