Evelyn Lea (Porges) Rubin of Framingham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 82 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Edith (Riess) and Armin Porges. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, William A. Rubin, son Mark Rubin, daughter Gayle (Rubin) Santamaria, son-in-law Mark Santamaria, granddaughters Toni Santamaria and Kendra Santamaria (husband Kevin), and sister Joyce (Porges) Wallenstein.
Evelyn was born in Boston on October 7, 1942, where she grew up, studied accounting, and began her career in the Boston financial district. She met her future husband Bill in 1959 and married in 1963. After their children were born, they moved to Framingham in 1969 and had lived there ever since. Evelyn loved reading, taking cruises, collecting antiques, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service and Burial on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11 AM at Moses Mendelsohn Cemetery, Lindwood Memorial Park, 490 North Street, Randolph, MA. Followed by a Shiva Gathering at Bill and Evelyn’s home in Framingham, MA.
