Herbert J. Tabachnick, 92, of Randolph, MA, passed away peacefully after a long and productive life. He put up a valiant fight for at least the last 15 years through bouts of cancer, a broken neck and every other ailment imaginable.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lynn (Brezinsky)Tabachnick. Herbert is survived by his sister, Cynthia Millman of Chelsea and her late husband, Jerry; his two daughters, Alison Fingerman of Chelsea, and Judith Small and her husband Joseph of Peabody. He greatly enjoyed his four grandchildren: Sarah Dalton and her husband Ryan of Mansfield; Samuel Fingerman of Lowell; Benjamin Small of Rocky Hill, CT; and Lauren Small of Woburn. He was especially enamored with his one-year-old great-granddaughter Drew Dalton to whom he referred to as the “Super Baby”.
He was born in Chelsea to the late Rose (Sokol) and Irving Tabachnick, and he served in the Army, achieving the rank of Specialist 3rd Class. After his discharge, he attended Northeastern University for accounting and was still a practicing CPA right to the end.
His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 29th at 11:00 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park to follow.
Shiva will be observed following interment at the home of Sarah and Ryan Dalton.
