J. Leonard Schatz

Schatz, J. Leonard; passed away February 22, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Sylvia (Lieberman) Schatz of Dedham, MA. Devoted father of Ellen Pollock and her husband David of Baltimore, MD; Gordon Schatz and his wife Lili of Potomac, MD; Mark Schatz and his wife Eileen of Crownsville, MD and David Schatz of West Newton, MA. Loving brother of the late Marion Barros and Carol Chomsky. Cherished grandfather of Carmit, Talia, Meirav, Yair, Ben, Keren and Avraham. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday (TODAY), February 23, 2014 at 2pm at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St, CANTON. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Shiva will be held at Newbridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow, Dedham on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-7:30pm . On Wednesday and Thursday at his late residence from 6 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Mikveh Israel, Independence Mall East, 44 North 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, to The Newton Swing Band, Newton Senior Center, 345 Walnut St, Newton, MA 02460, or to a charity of your choice.
