

Born in Dorchester in 1946, she was the daughter of the late Elliot Lerner and Helen (Lurie) Lerner. She was the sister of the late Alan Lerner and late David Lerner and is survived by her sister Kathy (Lerner) Brickman of Mansfield and her daughter Allison Brickman of Manhattan.
June attended Northeastern University and had a lengthy career as a schoolteacher in the City of Brockton as well as a Lab Tech for over 20 years at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, MA and Quest Diagnostics in Hyannis, MA.
June’s late husband Stephen Gerber, originally from Brockton, passed away in 2013 after 45 years of marriage. June was the proud mother of her daughter Beth (Gerber) Comella of Johnston, RI, and her husband Thomas Comella; and son Howard Gerber of Oldsmar, FL and his wife Kristie (Kirchner) Gerber. Together, her children gave June and Stephen the gift of four amazing grandchildren Thomas Comella, Nicholas Comella, Hannah Gerber, and Drew Gerber. They were the light of their lives both on and off the football field, skating rink, and baseball diamond.
June loved greeting the neighborhood dogs, had a love for ducks, and was a passionate fan of both the New England Patriots and the University of Alabama football team, Roll Tide.
Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Sunday October 16th at 10:30 AM followed by interment at the Plymouth Rock Cemetery, Brockton.
