Lillian Finkle

LILLIAN FINKLE entered into rest on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Born Lillian Kanter in March 1930, in Salem, MA, she was the dear daughter of the late Saul Kanter and Sarah (Talkowsky) Kanter originally of Peabody, MA.

A graduate of Peabody High School and Boston University, she moved to New London, CT to teach business at New London High School. She married Manuel Finkle in 1955 and then moved to Waterford, CT. Mrs. Finkle was a member of Hadassah organization for women.

Predeceased by Manuel in 2008, she was the devoted mother of Mark and Gail Finkle of Jerusalem, Israel; Deborah Finkle and Steven Tipps of Hudson, MA; Rise Finkle and Frederik Jente of Stone Ridge, NY; Jonathan and Judy Finkle of East Greenwich, RI and Jennifer Finkle of Medford, MA. Cherished grandmother of Shaul, Chaya, Ezra, Yakov, Mordecai, Sam, Eve, Alexander and Ariel.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 beginning at 12 Noon at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton Street, Sharon, MA

Memorial observance will be at the family home in Waterford, CT on Thursday, December 27, 2012. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be donated to Hadassah of Eastern Connecticut, 17 Farmview Drive, Norwich, CT 06360.
