

Vinocoor, Lisa Rae (Miller), 48, of Easton, MA passed away on February 24th , 2016 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous five-year battle with thymic carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. Loving wife of Mark J. Vinocoor, beloved mother of Lily and Gabrielle, devoted daughter of Adele and Martin Miller of Easton, cherished sister of Howard J. Miller and his wife Mollie of Mansfield, dear aunt of Dana and Jessica, and daughter-in-law of Morton and Marcia Vinocoor of Stoughton. Also survived by 2 loving aunts, an uncle, and many cousins. Lisa was raised in Brookline and was a graduate of Brookline High School Class of 1986. She received a BS from Lesley College and a master’s degree from Boston University in reading education. Until her illness, she worked many years as a pre-school teacher at the Jewish Community Center in Stoughton, where she was loved and cherished by her students. Lisa’s daughters were her greatest joy in life, and they received unconditional love and support from her. She particularly enjoyed watching her children perform; Lily in show choir and musical theater at Oliver Ames High School, Easton Children’s Theater, and in her acapella group at University of New Hampshire; Gabby in dance recitals and competitions at Dance Express. Special thanks to the many people/groups who assisted us in many ways over the past five years: Dance Express Easton, the entire Temple Chayai Shalom community, The Easton Neighborhood Brigade, The Easton Lions Club and the very special counselors at Camp Kesem/MIT. Lisa will be profoundly missed by her family and many wonderful, devoted friends who cared for her deeply. We will be forever grateful for their help and support. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 12 Noon, followed by burial at Chevra Kadusha Cemetery in Woburn, MA. Shiva will follow at the home of Adele and Martin Miller after the funeral until 8pm. Shiva will continue on Friday from 2-5pm, Saturday from 6-8pm and Sunday from 3-6pm.
