

M. Pearl Shindler, of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the age of 92.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 6, 1933, Pearl was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Goldman. She was the cherished sister of the late Bertha Goldman and the late Carl Goldman.
Pearl was the devoted mother of Susan Batista and her husband Humberto, and Karen Slarve and her husband Robert. She was the loving grandmother of Alexander Batista and his wife Amanda, Michael Slarve, and Julianna Turner and her husband John. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Violet, Scarlett, and Delilah Batista, and Bennett and Griffin Turner.
Pearl worked as a medical transcriptionist for Norfolk County Hospital and New England Sinai Hospital. She took great pride in returning to the workforce and excelling in her profession.
In her leisure time, Pearl enjoyed baking from scratch, especially her famous cream cheese brownies and apple crisp. She loved classical music, foreign films, and traveling, and treasured the memories of her trips throughout Europe.
Pearl was well known among family and friends for her enthusiastic viewing of Jeopardy! and was even invited to New York to audition as a contestant. In her later years, she was an active member of the Scrabble Club at her local senior center, where she was known as a formidable player with her remarkable recall of two- and three-letter words.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:45 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
