

Malcolm Kruger, son of David and Henrietta Kruger, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 85 on February 15, 2026 with his loving wife Rochelle at his side, at Duxbury House Memory Care in Duxbury, Massachusetts, where he had lived for three and a half years.
Mal grew up in Dorchester and Brookline, attending both Boston Latin and Brookline High Schools. He went on to attend Northeastern University in Boston earning both his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering.
He was a Registered Professional Engineer who spent his career of over 33 years at GTE in Needham, rising to the position of Department Manager, and retiring in February 1993. Mal was very proud of his work at GTE, being especially proud of his work on multiple secret and top secret engineering projects on behalf of the United States Military during the Cold War.
Mal was also very proud of his service in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
He met his beloved wife Rochelle (Steinglass) in April, 1959 on a blind date that included dinner and then dancing at Moseley’s on the Charles. They married in September 1962, and made their home in Westwood, Massachusetts for fifty years before moving to the retirement community The Village at Duxbury, in Duxbury, Massachusetts in 2014.
He is survived by his wife Rochelle, his two daughters Renee and Sharon, their husbands Joseph and David, and his two granddaughters Aileen and Elise, who were truly the light of his life. He is further survived by his sister Rhonda Weinstein and her husband Milton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service and burial were held for the family.
