

On June 21, 2025, Rae Goldman passed away of natural causes at the age of 101. Rae was born on September 5, 1923 in Cambridge, MA to the late Mary and Max Silver. Born after WWI, living through the Great Depression, WW II, and many conflicts and advances, Rose was a witness to history. After attending Fisher Junior College, Rae worked as a civilian bookkeeper for the U.S. Navy. In 1947, she married Melvin Goldman (deceased). They moved to Randolph where they raised four children, Susan and her husband Jerry Saccardo, Richard (deceased) and his wife Ellen, Elise (Lecee) and her husband Alan Sandler (deceased), and Marc.
Rae and Mel were among the founding members of Temple Beth Am in Randolph, where they were instrumental in bringing the USY teen program to the Temple. Rae continued her involvement, running the snack bar for the Temple Bingo night which raised tens of thousands of dollars for youth scholarships. Rae enjoyed spending time with her ten grandchildren, Moriah, Erica (deceased), Jenny Rebecca, Rebecca, Julie, Josh, Sarah, Daniel, Megan, and Mason. Rae was also blessed with seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Andrea, Ella, Sophia, Jonathan, Henry, and Nora. Rae was the sister of the late Vivian and Stuart Falk, the late Herbert and Norma Silver and the late Jack and Ida Silver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
Shiva will be from 3 PM to 7 PM at NewBridge on The Charles, 7000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rae’s memory may be made to Hebrew SeniorLife, 1200 Centre Street, Roslindale, MA 02131 or www.hebrewseniorlife.org
