

Her death was caused by complications from COVID-19. She was 75 years old.
Sari was born in Brookline, Massachusetts to her beloved parents Sol and Diana “Dena” Klein. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved brother Jason Klein, and by many dearly loved aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Klein family. She is survived by her two children and their families. She was a caring mother to Adam Spickler and his husband Scott Johnson, as well as to her daughter Jana Martin. She was also survived by her three grandchildren Ashley, David, and Joseph Martin, who were her world. She was also a beloved and dearly cherished friend and cousin to many people, from old Newton school friends, to co-workers from over the years, to her “Parents Without Partners” group of friends.
Sari was a proud graduate of Newton North High School, later attending Boston University to study business and accounting. She went on to work as a bookkeeper and accountant for many locally renowned restaurants, businesses, and schools, including Duca’s Restaurant in Framingham, the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Brandeis University in Waltham, and New England Spas in Natick.
An avid music lover and social butterfly, Sari is known for her many times going to Neil Diamond concerts or to see her beloved Texas Tenors perform live, or to simply go out dancing and have dinner with friends. She enjoyed trips to go whale watching and deep-sea fishing on the Boston Harbor with friends, going out on a paddle boat ride on Lake Cochituate and going out for ice cream with her daughter Jana and her grandchildren, and painting pottery with her son Adam at Petroglyph in Santa Cruz, CA. She also treasured get togethers at her house or out on the town with her many friends and extended family. Sari will be remembered for her caring, quirky, and quick-witted demeanor, and will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
A private graveside service will take place by invitation, at Kaminker Cemetery, Baker Street in West Roxbury.
