

He was the son of the late David and Mary (Lewis) Goldman and cherished husband for 64 years of the late Ida (Regenbogen) Goldman.
Sid was born in Stoughton and lived most of his life in East Bridgewater. In his early years, he was a carpenter, furniture and cabinet maker. He and Ida later founded Sunny Line Builder's Supply in East Bridgewater where along with lumber and hardware, he displayed his collection of antique toys, wooden Indians, carved animals, unique dolls and collectibles. His wife was a native of New Orleans, and he became a collector of New Orleans culture and jazz. Sid was also an avid animal lover. He proudly served in the Armed Guard of the Navy during World War II.
He was a devoted father to David Goldman and his fiancee, Joan Primack, Mark and Nancy Goldman, and Cynthia and Gordon Janes.
The light of his life was his grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Emily Leighton, Rebecca Goldman Mora, Robert Goldman and the late Daniel Goldman.
He adored his great grandchildren, Ellie, Hannah and Eva Smith, Amanda and Noah Leighton and Joshua Mora.
He was the brother of the late Dr. Harry Goldman, Elizabeth Goulston, Stanley Goldman and Arthur Goldman. He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
Sid was a legacy of loyalty, strength and love to all who were lucky enough to know him. Services will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM, at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021.
Interment at Agudis Achim Cemetery in Brockton.
