Sonia Hannah Hunker

Sonia “Sunny” Wax, Waxler, (Hunker) passed away on September 8, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1926 in Brookline MA and moved to Albany, NY in 1960, and has lived in Palm Beach County, Florida since 1972.

Sunny lived an amazing and fulfilling life. She was interested in everyone she met and before long, they were like family. She was always on the go, whether it be a cruise, the casino or playing Mahjong, Bingo, cards and going out to dinner with her friends at Brookdale.

Her granddaughter RoByn will especially miss their shopping sprees followed by Happy Hour. Her grandson Derek will miss their brunches at the Flamingo Cafe, every time he visited after a long absence.

She is survived by her son Mark Waxler (Pamela Zinn) of Worcester, MA; her daughter Suzanne Baron of North Palm Beach, FL; her grandchildren Derek Baron and RoByn Baron; her sister Rosalind Pearlstein; her sister-in-law Diane Millen and an abundance of loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Murray Waxler, her long-term partner Leo Kraimer and her sister Barbara Kraft.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 12:45PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA. A Celebration of her life will immediately follow.
