Arlus M. Maley Sr., age 81, passed away at his home on November 21, 2013. He was born on April 3, 1932 in Moatsville, West Virginia to Harley and Frances (Sheme) Maley. Arlus served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a cement finisher by trade and an avid outdoorsman and gardener.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Sue (Shuman) Maley who passed in 2004; infant daughter, Wendy Virginia Maley; and brothers, Harley Jr. and Richard Maley. Arlus is survived by his children, Arlus (Max) Jr. and Frances Elaine Maley; grandchildren, Lauren, Wendy, and Anthony Maley; great-grandchildren, Gianni and Adrianna Maley; siblings, Shelby Speck, Franklin Maley, William Maley, Patty Peterson, Eunice Maley, Kenneth Maley, Mick Maley, Mary Beauregard, and Steve Maley.
Friends may call from 10-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. A memorial service will held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Arlus to: Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708.
