

Douglas P. Warren, age 84, of North Canton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center in Canton, Ohio. He was born on May 16, 1931 in Olean, NY to the late Seth P. and H. Blanche Warren.
Douglas was a graduate of Olean High School and received his BA from the University of Denver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, who served during the Korean Conflict. Doug retired from Crane Deming Pumps in Salem, Ohio in 1993. He was a member of American Legion Post # 0436; Enchanted Mountains Masonic Lodge #252, F&AM; Newfoundland Club of America; Penn/Ohio Newfoundland Club; South Central Newfoundland Club; Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada; Newfoundland Dog Club of Central Ontario; United Kennel Club
Doug was a great lover of animals, particularly dogs and spent several years showing his Champion Newfoundlands. Doug was an avid supporter of his grandchildren's activities and loved to watch them perform and compete. He took every opportunity to spend time fishing or seeing movies with them. He was a diehard North Canton Hoover and Kent State softball fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by loving wife, Ruthanne H. Warren. He is survived by his children: Steve Warren (Cheryl) of North Canton; Leigh Anne Lidrbauch (Alan) of Houston, TX; Dave Warren (Trina) of North Canton; Doug Warren (Diana) of Avon, OH and Laura Malay (Steve) of Powell, OH. Grandfather to Kimberly and Jocelyn Lidrbauch of Houston; Kaitlyn, Erika and Kyleigh Warren of North Canton and Alec, Seth and Cole Warren of Avon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Rev. Eli Klingensmith officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7pm at the funeral home, following a 4:45pm Masonic service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Stark County Humane Society.
