Eleanor M. Emanuelson, who recently celebrated her 95th birthday, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in North Canton. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 3, 1918 to George and Grace (Putt) Felton. Eleanor worked for Goodyear Aerospace, Navy Division in the shipping department. She was a member of the North Canton Eagles, D of A, many bridge clubs, and Past President of the North Canton Lady Elks. Eleanor also played golf well into her 90’s.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas George Emanuelson, who passed in 2011; daughter, Joan Gail Emanuelson, who passed in 1971; brother, Forrest Felton; and sisters, Elvena Morris and Velma Barwick. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Jill Henry; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Stoltz and Allison (Ron) Courtney; great-grandchildren, Erin Reynolds, Camryn Reynolds, Dominic Carpinelli, Zane Courtney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with a burial to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke’s Alzheimer’s Division.
