

She was born in Canton on September 9, 1941 to the late Walter and Anna (Shepherd) Griffith. Gail was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and retired from Superior Dairy, Inc. after 36 years of service. She served on the board of Teamsters Local 113, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Gail was an avid bowler for 54 years, and served as a league officer in many different leagues, most recently for Rossi Funeral Home Senior League. She loved to garden, paint, go to movies, and take trips with the Red Hatters.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Saffell, II, of Canton; sons, Jim (Patsy Poulton) Schank of Jackson Township; Joseph Mark (Gena) Schank, Sr., of Canton, and Jeff (Sandra) Schank, of Canton; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Young, of Bakersfield, CA, and Brenda (Dennis) Parsons, of Magnolia, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, or The Inn at University Village of Massillon Activities Department.
