Gregory Edward McCreery

Gregg was born in Canton on October 10, 1955 to the late Edward McCreery and Geraldine (Frakes) Halkides. He was a proud graduate of North Canton Hoover High School. He was awarded 11 letters while participating in high school sports. He was involved in many sports such as tennis, football, and swimming. After high school, Gregg went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree at Kent State University. Gregg was a lifetime member of Christ United Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed doing volunteer work for many different programs, among which were Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. Gregg was passionate about golfing, advocating for special interests, writing, and collecting autographs. Most importantly, Gregg loved spending time with his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Gregg is preceded in death by his step-father, Dale Wearstler.

Gregg is survived by his two children, Season (Mike) Trujillo and Korey (Mandy) McCreery, six grandchildren: Kenzie, Ava, Austin, Brody, Reece, and Asher; and two brothers, Don (Debbie) McCreery and Bret Wearstler.

Per the family’s request, Gregg will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in North Canton.
