Larry E Cairns

age 80, passed away Monday evening, April 11, 2011, at Country Lawn Nursing Home. He was born July 9, 1930 to Robert and Glenna (Barker) Cairns in Mansfield, Ohio. Larry was a proud partial owner and President of Ohio Car & Truck Leasing of Canton, Ohio. Larry was also an Honorary Lifetime Member after 50 years of membership at the William McKinley Masonic Lodge. He was a 45 year member of the Canton Rotary Club, as well as a member of the Meyers Lake Water Skiing Club, and a 25 year member of Brookside Country Club. He also attended New Life United Methodist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Larry enjoyed shooting sporting clays, golfing, boating, water-skiing, as well as deer hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth (Evans) Cairns; daddy's 'dutchess' Kathleen and special son-in-law, Jerry Iams of North Canton; grandchildren, Brian (Jessica) Iams of Columbus, Elizabeth (Kevin) Davidson of North Canton who have always made him proud; great- grandchildren, Bradley and Kaitlin Iams and Cole Davidson who always brought a smile to their Great-Grandad's face; brother, Edwin (Corinne) Cairns of Canton; sisters-in- law, Marilyn (Jim) Rollins of Canton, Carolyn (Jerry) Radel of Canton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Friends may call Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Larry will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
