Larry J. Oney Jr.

A 1993 graduate of Hoover High school and Veteran of the Army National Guard and member of RiverTree Church. His kindness, generosity, and laughter enriched the lives of many around him. He loved hiking and biking and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire us all.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Angela (Johnson) Oney; son, Dylan (Elizabeth) Oney; daughter, Reagan Oney; and puppy, Goose. Parents, Larry and Cindy Oney; and sisters, Tara (James) Fenderson, Tiffany (Chris) Nichols and Tana (Mark) Crouse; in-laws, Harry and Shirley Johnson, Charlie (Kara) Johnson. Preceded in death by grandparents, John and Maxine Oney, Bud and MaryAnn Walter; mother and stepfather, Brenda and Vince Ferguson.

A huge thank you to Royalty Roofing and employees for their generous love and support. A special thank you to Blake and Vanessa Calloway and their son, Brock, and Kate Brill, Tyler Brill, and Dan Millat for organizing fundraising events for the family. Also, a special thank you to the loving and compassionate staff at Woodlawn Compassionate Care.

A memorial service for Larry will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 6:00 PM at RiverTree Jackson Church, 7373 Portage Street NW, Massillon, OH 44646. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at North Canton Eagles, 6979 Sunset Strip Avenue NW, North Canton, OH 44720.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.
