Louis E. Grooms “The Miracle Man”, age 88, of East Sparta passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was born in West Union, OH on November 19, 1923 to Charles and Meryle (Kline) Grooms. Louis retired from Diebold after working for 38 years. He was a member of the Sandyville Methodist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason.
He is preceded in death by his wife Violet, who passed in September 2011; his parents; one brother, and two sisters.
Louis is survived by his daughter, Linda (Bill) Lasure; son, Louis C. Grooms; four grandchildren, Danny (Michelle), Jason (Michelle), Jennifer (Clint) Lantz, Amber (Rob) Sloan, 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home as well as an hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Pastor Ruthann Bosley will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
