

He was born May 10, 1921 in New Philadelphia to the late John and Lula (Steinbaugh) Robson. Lou was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Class of 1939. He attended Kilgore College in Texas and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Lou was a successful businessman and co-founder of Ohio Poly, Inc. in Carrollton, OH and Continental Poly, Inc. in Bowling Green, KY. He was a US Air Force veteran of WWII and a member of Church of the Covenant. He enjoyed reading, cars, traveling and OSU football. He will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather who was very generous, successful and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen; five sisters and one brother. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Les) Keever; grandchildren, Todd and Julie; several very special nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Entombment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 5-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society for the Blind, 1909 E 101st Street, Cleveland, OH 44106-4110 or Graceland University, 1401 West Truman Road, Independence, MO 64050. The family extends special thanks to all of his home health aides and Cheryl Sanko.
