Marian Louise Murphy

(nee Huber) 1932-2017

Age 85, of Jackson Township, passed away on November 1, 2017 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She went peacefully home, surrounded by her family, and entered the presence of her Savior. She was born on September 14, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to William and Lola (nee Rose) Huber. She was a 1951 graduate of Safford High School in Safford, Arizona and a 1952 graduate of Canton Business College.

Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She made a profession of faith at the age of 18 and faithfully attended church for the next 67 years. She was a strong supporter of missions and loved attending Sunday School and fellowshipping with friends she made there. She was an advocate of Christian education and active in the founding of Heritage Christian School where she also volunteered.

Marian was predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Rebecca Corbit. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard; her two sons, Brian Murphy of Shaker Heights and David Murphy of Columbus; and 5 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Rita Smith, Joanne (Ray) Flickinger and William (Lonna) Huber.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Canton Baptist Temple, 515 Whipple Avenue, N.W. Canton, Ohio with Pastor Mike Frazier officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Monday, two hours before service at the church. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
