Mel was employed for 30 years at the Timken Company, and will be remembered for his love of bus trips, and playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie McCreary. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Ann (Goshorn) McCreary; son, Melvin L. McCreary of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Jane Griffith, of Dover; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. There will be no calling hours or funeral ceremony. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
