Nancy Jo Maksim

Nancy was born August 4, 1950 in Canton, Ohio to the late Dallas and Eleanor (Marzec) Merryman. She was a graduate of McKinley High School. Nancy retired from Carlisle Engineered Products. Nancy and her husband, Max, enjoyed traveling with friends and annual trips to celebrate their anniversary. She remained active in a golf league; in earlier years she was an avid bowler who competed in many championships and was inducted into the amateur bowling hall of fame. No matter where Nancy Jo went or who she met she was their friend by the time she left!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Donald "Max" Maksim, her sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and Frank Pendolino; and brother-in-law, Lou Stillo. She is survived by her brother, Denny Merryman; her sister, Sandi Stillo; three nephews; and seven nieces; sister-in-law, Cathy Maksim; sister-in-law, Obie Maksim (Bobby); and brother-in-law, Corky Maksim (Eleanore).

In accordance with her wishes, a cremation was planned. In true Nancy Jo fashion, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mike's Again, 1037 Bedford Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44710. Friends and family are welcome to come and honor Nancy's life by sharing memories and laughs with loved ones! In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.littlepinkribbongirl.org.
