Paula Doane Powell

She was born July 21, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio to Ronald and Pauline (Novak) Doane. Paula was a graduate of Rocky River High School Class of 1960. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1964, and later received her Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Akron. Paula held membership in Canton Quilters Guild, Brookside Country Club, 18 Holer Ladies Golf Group, and Northwestern Great 8. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Mahjong, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Powell, of the home, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 21, 2015; children, Scott (Pam) Powell of Upper Arlington, and Chris (Erin) Powell of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Brooks, Drew, Mollie, Catherine, and Claire; and sister, Ronda Deer of Northville, MI. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John Deer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be in North Canton Cemetery. A reception will follow at Brookside Country Club. Friends may call Sunday from 3-6pm at the funeral home.
