Scott was born in Canton on May 1, 1952 to the late Ralph G. and Norma (Harrison) Freday. He was a 1970 graduate of Hoover High School. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Kent State University. Prior to retiring, he was employed for over 20 years by Roach Reid Office Systems as a computer technician programmer. Scott coached the North Canton Little League for two years and then the North Canton Youth Football League for 10 years.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Kris (Miller) Freday, his son, Michael Freday, three step-children: Dana (Bobby) Nash, Michael (Stephanie Graham) Yoder, and Adam (Tracy) Yoder; five grandchildren: AJ Williams, Kassidy and Robert Nash, and Evan and Tyler Yoder; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Williams, two siblings, Jim (Pam) Freday and Carol (Don) Alexander, two nephews, Zach and Scott Freday, and one niece, Ashley (Nick) Lucas.
Along with his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Geib.
Per Scott’s wishes a cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Calling hours will be held prior to the memorial service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
