Robert “Bob” Harold Mast, age 74, passed away January 26th, 2011. A lifelong resident of Canton, he was born to Harold and Cleo (Lamielle) Mast and attended Lehman High School before entering the grocery sales field. He became the owner of Maxie’s Drive-In from 1967-1995. Maxie’s was a landmark establishment and a well-known family-oriented restaurant in North Canton. All who worked with Bob during his years there appreciated his enthusiasm for fun, great food and a reminiscent 50’s atmosphere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tommy, and wife Peggy. He is survived by his son Michael of Canton, Denise of New Jersey, grandchildren, Cassandra, Carolyn and Sean-Michael.
A memorial service will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home at 5000 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718 on Monday, January 31st, 2011 at 7 pm. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the service from 5 pm -7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 7077 Canton, OH 44705.
