Scott is survived by his wife, Kathryn Ann (Edick) Dunfee. They were married June 14, 1969. They have celebrated 47 years of marriage. He is survived by four children, Melinda and Jeff Lackey of Franklin, Massachusetts, Scott and Kristen Dunfee of Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer and Scott Nofer of North Canton, Ohio, and Nancy and Bill Crookston of North Canton, Ohio. He was proud to be a grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Aubrey, Vincent, and Emmett Lackey, Lauren and Nathan Dunfee, Madelyne and Brian Nofer, and Billy, Taylor, and Maya Crookston. We also do not want to forget his loving dog, Lucas.
Scott was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School in Massillon. After graduation, Scott joined the Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served 13 months overseas. Scott then worked for Wright Tool Company as supervisor for most of his career. He spent his free time enjoying sporting events for Hoover High School in North Canton, especially football and softball. He was also a huge fan of Ohio State University football. Scott enjoyed reading any and all history books he could find, particularly books pertaining to wars across the world.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their care these past several months. We would also like to thank the VA for their support.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 20th from 6-8pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. A private, family only funeral service will be held on Tuesday. Pastor Ryan Johnston will be officiating. Scott will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
