Sharon was born in Canton, Ohio, on February 21, 1947, to Raymond and Ruby Heestand.
Sharon loved her family immensely, especially her four grandchildren. She was a tremendous seamstress, making beautifully smocked dresses for her granddaughters. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making quilts, which earned her 1st place at the Stark County Fair. She loved to cook and as the basics of life became more difficult for her, Sharon became an avid cookbook collector and reader. She loved animals. Her passion to ride and own her own horse was a dream come true. Her beloved quarter horse, Tris, graced her world. Tootie, her shetland pony, would be his companion. Her visions turned into reality when Ruby Acres Farm was built. It would become her therapy. Her adored collie, Trevor, was always by her side. She never met an animal she didn't love.
Sharon is survived by her loving and caring husband of more than 40 years, Walter Strotz; her daughter, Shelley (Timothy) Lancaster; stepsons, Robby and Vince (Anita) Strotz; and her cherished grandchildren, Spencer, Kalen (Sydney), Emerson, and Presley.
Sharon was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her courageous spirit to overcome her many illnesses was absolutely awe-inspiring. She fought fiercely and bravely until the end. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
