He was born June 20, 1951 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harrison and Helen "Ruth" Hoy. Tim was a graduate of Perry High School and a member of Perry Christian Church. Tim's life motto was "Every day is a holiday". That is how he lived. He always had a silly joke or some sort of saying to make you think. Tim always lived by example. His love and his hobbies were the same: working, and being outdoors. Although he retired from the Timken Company at an early age, he continued his father's arborist skills and then eventually settled closer to the ground with lawn mowing and landscaping. When he wasn't working, he was still out in nature nearly daily, planting, walking, boating, building, or gardening. His favorite 2nd place was the hardware store, buying tools to use outdoors!
Tim always said he was a "poor boy" from Richville. He loved traveling, game nights, cards, any kind of adventure, being with friends, napping, his beloved pets, and telling his "poor little Timmy" stories. Tim was also proud to be an Eagle Scout beside his friends, Larry Charton and Nick Pfeiffer. He was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished partner to the love of his life, Donna Matako.
In addition to his partner, Donna, Tim is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Boggs; devoted grandson, Josh Hoy and his siblings, Justin and Jorden; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Colton, Zoey, and Ryker; sisters, Sue (Jim) Hall, Beth (Shane) Crawford, Linda (Robert) Yohn; brothers, Jim (Linda) Hoy, and Richard (Jackie) Hoy; and so many nieces and nephews, they're too numerous to list.
