Virginia May Harold Holsing

Born November 22nd, 1917 in Canton, Ohio, she was a McKinley High School graduate (class of 1935) and a long time resident of Lake Cable along with her high school sweetheart and late husband of 51 years, Robert Holsing. In their later years together, their winters were joyously spent in Nettles Island, Florida. Virginia had many passions: she treasured her membership in the Lake Cable gardening club, continued to play tennis and golf into her 80's, sewed and quilted beautifully, cherished playing bridge, and became a talented and accomplished painter despite only taking up the craft later in life. Ginny was happiest when talking and laughing with her friends and family.

She was predeceased by her parents Herman (Fuzzy) and Gertrude Harold, brother Budd, and her beloved husband, Bob. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Holsing, son-in-law Albert Goon, grandson Garrett Goon, two nieces, and two nephews, each of whom she loved deeply.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Road NW, Canton.
