

Services for Adam Lee Currey, 58, of Ben Wheeler, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Murchison with Bro. Gary Bowman officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Canton. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Adam passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Tyler. He was born January 4, 1968, in Dallas to Donald Paul and Jeannine Wilson Currey.
Adam was a 1987 graduate of Van High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Murchison. He was truly a “jack of all trades” and took great pride in his work as a handyman. Adam enjoyed his job working as a mechanic with GE Vernova. Known for his quick wit and perfect timing, he always knew how to make people laugh with his one-liners. Adam was very artistic and enjoyed playing the harmonica, throwing darts, and horseshoes with friends. His Mini Aussie, Mickey, was his faithful companion and best bud and his pride and joy was his grandson, Luca, whom he loved dearly.
Mr. Currey was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jeannine Currey; his sister, Sheryl Marie Currey; his grandparents, Laura “Me-Me” Wilson, William “Granddaddy” Wilson, Ruth “Mom-O” Currey, and William Andrew Currey; and his beloved “Auntie,” Joan Kutchman.
Adam is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Tonya Currey of Ben Wheeler; his three daughters, Amber Nicole Lones and husband Chris of Fayetteville, Carrie Marie Currey and Kevin Cude of Pasadena, and Emily Elizabeth Currey and Brian Parrish of Laredo; his son, Luke Currey of Ben Wheeler; his grandson, Luca Lee Thomas Parrish; his sister, Pam Martin and husband Ray of Mesquite; his two brothers, Dennis Currey and wife Marsha of Ben Wheeler, and William Currey and wife Tammy of Holtville, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Joe Currey, Matthew Currey, Philip Martin, Donny Martin, Brian Parrish, Kevin Cude, Greg Currey (honorary), and Dennis Currey (honorary).
