Annie Lee Melton

Annie Lee Melton, 88, of Canton, Texas went home to the Lord in Longview, Texas on October 16, 2024. She was born in Sylvester, Texas on March 23, 1936, to John Duran Dunn and Ola Hayes Thompson Dunn.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a funeral to celebrate her life and going home to heaven will be on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Eubank Funeral Home.

Annie was devoted to her faith and a long time member of Jackson Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to her one true love, Joe Melton for 61 years at his passing in 2013. Her and Joe built a beautiful life full of love and laughter. They spend their retirement years traveling and enjoying the beauty of America.

Annie was a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed gardening; growing and nurturing flowers brought her joy. What made Annie beam and made the best days were days spent baking and having family together to enjoy all she had done. Annie was blessed with a wonderful life of joy and happiness. Her family rest knowing she is with her beloved, Joe, and home with the Lord. They smile because they know they will see her again in heaven.

She is survived by her son and daughter in-law. Kelly and Pam Melton; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brother, David Dunn; a host of other family and friends.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ola Dunn; beloved husband, Joe Melton.
