Austin passed away June 18, 2025 in Dallas. He was born October 26, 1993 in Loma Linda, California to Ronald Bruce and Dawn Renee Bouchard Gattie.
Austin grew up in California and then moved to Indiana when he was 17 years old. He moved to Texas a year ago. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2000 at 6 years old. Austin survived two major brain surgeries, stem cell transplant, six years of chemo and gamma knife radiation, an irremovable shunt to keep pressure and fluid off the brain. Never once did he complain of the life he was dealt. At 13 he was cancer free. On May 18th, 2025 he survived a brain bleed. June 18th, 2025 the Lord said "I will have him now." What saved his life then was what took it in the end.
Austin (BROLYTHELEGND) put himself through college and received a bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts. He used his talents and skill in design and gaming. Austin loved bowling, anime, DragonballZ, Overwatch, and collecting Pokemon cards, among many, many other things. He loved chocolate and kidding around with family and friends. He would often say random things to be funny or redirect the conversation. NO FILTER. Austin enjoyed spending time with family. He was an incredibly strong person who was pure and sweet. He just loved MORE! He had a genuine need to please and worried endlessly about everyone else. He was the most kind and generous son, brother, uncle, and friend. Forever young.
