

Betty was born in Blackwell, Arkansas to George Dallas Weaver and Bessie B. Honeycutt-Weaver. She graduated from Midland High School in 1952. She married Edward Weldon Gilmore in 1953 in Midland, Texas.
She is survived by her son Charles Edward Gilmore of Dallas, TX; son Gary Don Gilmore of Wylie, TX; daughter-in-law and wife of Charles, Camille Gilmore of Dallas, TX; granddaughter Erin Camille Gilmore of Dallas, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bessie; her husbands Edward W. Gilmore and Robert L. Shaver; Brothers Leonard Weaver, J.W. Weaver, John D. Weaver and Denver Weaver; Sisters Thelma Harris, Connie Middleton and Bonnie Sartin.
Betty was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church in Lucas, Texas. She loved traveling, reading novels and spending time with her granddaughter, family and friends. She always enjoyed a great road trip and the freedom to drive herself wherever she wished. Some of her favorite trips included returning to her birth state of Arkansas to visit her brother Leonard, his wife Anna, and spending time at her niece and nephew's farm in Guy and Conway, Arkansas.
Betty exuded unmatched generosity, compassion and love to all who were blessed to know her. Her absence from this world will be deeply mourned by many.
Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Stephens, Jeff Middleton, John Stephens, Frank Souza, Gary Rodenbaugh and Bob Beasley.
Family will be receiving friends Saturday evening, January 7th at Eubank Funeral Home.
Services will be held Sunday, January 8th, 2 p.m., at Eubank Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Michael Waco officiating.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories.
