Billie Margaret England

Billie was born on January 5, 1943 in Terrell, Texas to James Clayton Cross and Carrie Oree Casey Cross. She grew up in the Wentwork Community and was member of the Wentwork Church of Christ. She graduated from Canton High School, class of 1961. Billie was a county girl at heart and loved living in Van Zandt County. She enjoyed playing 42, word search puzzles, bingo and do bible studies. Billie had a battle with Multiple Sclerosis for 31 years. Her battle is over and her body is now whole again. Billie dearly loved her family and her family loved her the same. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth C. England; son, James Applewhite; parents, JC and Oree “Carrie” Cross and a twin sister that passed at birth.

Billie is survived by sons, Clifford Mintz and wife, Lauren, Ronnie Applewhite and wife, Maria, Rick Applewhite and wife, Brandi; grandchildren, Caroline, Clayton, Lily, Jimmy, Megan (and husband, Jeremy), James, Ryan, Dylan and Aidan; great grandchildren, Harper and Aaron; cousins, Jerry Strickland and Marcie Strickland; and many other step sons and daughters, step grandchildren and great grandsons and daughter, and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be set at a future date by the family.
