Carolyn Joyce Weedin, 72, of Athens, Texas passed away peacefully with her daddy by her side on May 4, 2025 in Canton, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1952 in Kaufman, Texas to Kenneth Weedin and Joyce French Weedin.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Phil Knott officiating.
Carolyn grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from W. W. Samuel High School, class of 1970. Carolyn was Baptist by faith and knew her love for the Lord at an early age. Carolyn was an independent, carefree and happy person. She could put a smile on your face, being around her with her quick wit, funny personality and laughter.
In her younger years, Carolyn enjoyed horseback riding and loved the outdoors. She had a kind heart. Carolyn was a cat lover her entire life. She was devoted to her cats and was always caring for feral cats in the Athen’s area. Carolyn loved her family and the Lord. She will be dearly missed but live on in the wonderful memories her family carries in their hearts.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Weedin; husband of 25 years at his passing, Frank Garrado; brother, Ronald Weedin.
She is survived by her dad, Kenneth Weedin; niece Jennifer Johnson and husband, Jerry; nephew, Michael Weedin; a host of other family and friends.
