Charles Ray Page

Charles “Bud” Ray Page, age 85, of Canton, Texas, passed away on December 17, 2025. Born on November 23, 1940, Charles lived a life rooted in hard work, integrity, faith, and devotion to family and community.

Charles graduated from Canton High School in 1959. Shortly thereafter, he founded and owned Page Nursery, which he operated for more than 30 years. Known for his exceptional roses and strong, healthy trees, Charles took great pride in his work and earned the respect of customers and fellow growers alike. Beyond the nursery, he deeply loved ranch life and could most often be found tending to his cows—something that brought him both peace and purpose.

In 1961, Charles married the love of his life, Linda Reid Page, and together they shared 52 devoted years of marriage until her passing in 2013. Their life together was built on love, faith, and family, and Charles remained devoted to her memory for the rest of his life. He was a proud father and a deeply affectionate grandfather, cherishing time spent with his grandchildren above all else.

Charles enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching classic Westerns, especially those starring John Wayne, and was famously skilled at playing dominoes—a talent that brought laughter and friendly competition to many family gatherings.

A man of strong faith, Charles was a lifelong Baptist and lived his beliefs through service and quiet leadership. He was deeply involved in his community and served for many years on the Canton ISD School Board, always committed to doing what he believed was right and fair.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Page and Kathleen Bridwill Page; his beloved wife, Linda Page; and his siblings Wayne Page, Gene Page, Lucy Shipman, Tom Page, David Page, Joyce Whiteside, and Mary Nipp.

He is survived by his children, Charles Page and wife JoAnna; Julie Lazarine and her husband Lee; and Jodi Page; and his cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Georgia, Jane Aubrey, and Charlie, who were the light of his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. Funeral services will take place at the same location on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Charles “Bud” Ray Page leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith, service, and love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
