Courtney was the happiest soul, and lit up every soul she ever met. Her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the countless hearts she touched.
Courtney was born in Carrollton, Texas on December 14th, 1994 to John and Kimberly Lindberg. She grew up in Prosper, Texas where she attended school from kindergarten through high school when she graduated in 2014. Courtney grew up alongside her older sister Sam, who she was only one year and one day younger than. They had a bond that was unbreakable, and always will.
Courtney may have been born with autism, but she never knew she was different from anyone else. She had no worries, no stress, and just wanted everyone to be happy. No sadness! She had a love for her stuffed animals, her “line up”toys, her pink cup that she had since she was 3 years old, and blankets (she had easily over 40 blankets). Courtney had hundreds of DVDs and she watched them all at least a dozen times.
She had a love of video games. PlayStation, Wii, Nintendo Switch… she loved them all and she could play them all better than anyone. She loved technology. She had several tablets that she would have in her hand constantly. She would switch them out when the charge got low (which to her was 60%). She loved watching youtube videos, and listening to music on her tablets.
Sadly, Courtney leaves behind her momma, Kim (who was her best friend in the whole wide world); bonus dad, Anthony; her sister, Samantha (also her best friend); sister, Valerie and brother in law, Jason; sister, Andrea, and bonus sisters: Madison and Presley; As well as six nieces and nephews: Krystin, Shaine ,Lexi, Allison, Rory, and Raiden; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and her fur friends, Mitzi Rae, Murphy Owen, and Sunny Rae.
She was preceded in passing by her daddy, John Lindberg; grandparents, Ray and Dorthy Loveday and George and Peggy Lindberg; her aunt, Vienna; uncle, George “Buster”; and Cousin, Forrest; as well as her family dog and friend, Abby “Happy Rae”; All of whom were no doubt in attendance for her giant pink “welcome to your heavenly home” party.
Her presence was a source of comfort, and happiness to her family, and she will be forever deeply missed. As Courtney herself would say, “I see you later guys….”
