Don Waterhouse died peacefully on May 10, 2016, at the age of 74. Don was born in San Angelo, Texas on October 11, 1941. He lived in Columbia, South Carolina for the past 14 years with his wife Donna.
Don lived a very useful and active life. You rarely found him sitting without a journal in his hand. He was a devoted pastor that had just celebrated 50 years of service in the ministry. He loved to read and educate himself not only in God’s Word but also health, nutrition and history. He enjoyed being outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting or landscaping the yard. A priority in his life was spending time with the ones he loved which resulted in years of enjoyable vacations and visits with family and friends. He will be remembered for his “heart”—not the one that failed, but the one that defined him as a man of God, a dedicated and loving family man, and a shepherd that truly cared for the sheep. He had a humility that was rare for his experience and age. He has left a tremendous void in our own hearts and we will miss him greatly.
He leaves behind his wife Donna of 27 years, 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 1 brother.
He was preceded in death by two older brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry, TX under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
