Marie Park, 86, a beloved resident at Azalea Trails Nursing Home in Grand Saline, Tx left our world March 12,2025. She was born to Thomas Hill Park and Lillie G. (Stewart) Park, May 14, 1938 in Canton, Tx.
Marie loved Jesus Christ, was a member of the Church of Christ in Canton, and shared her belief with 3 brothers, 1 sister, 4 nephews and 8 nieces.
Her richly lived life brought fun and joy into the lives of family and friends. Tales of a trip through Europe, meeting Elvis, “the king” and even rumors of a run in with the notorious Lee Harvey Oswald delighted her audiences. With the courage of a lioness, she and her brother left the security of Texas life to make Mexico home for two adventurous years. Being the last born of her siblings, she often said that she was an “oops” baby. Oops or not, we are forever grateful for her life.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
