A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home. Frankie, a true child of God and a humble servant, always walking in the footsteps of Christ, was Baptized in Baptist faith. Serving as a Deacon in the house of the Lord since 1972, Frankie was also part of Royal Ambassadors, and served as a teacher of God’s word for both Sr. high and Jr. high classes, as well as coaching youth church league basketball. Living as an example, witnessing to young people for over 15 years, leading so many of them to Christ. Frankie was a true modern-day disciple of God.
Frankie met his one true love, Gale Chaney at a church activity in Pleasant Grove, Texas. They were married in the eyes of the lord on October 6, 1961, and blessed with nearly 64 years together. Together they built a wonderful life and family with love and laughter.
Frankie was fortunate to have traveled all over the world before his retirement from the electronic world. Gale often was able to travel with him on these many adventures. Frankie’s hobbies outside doing God’s work included building and flying model airplanes, watching, or playing basketball, building, and working on computers, fishing, and woodworking.
Family vacations and camping trips to Colorado were at the top of his list. He enjoyed cooking and eating fresh caught trout by the campfire after a long day of fishing in the mountains with his son and daughter, and at night he loved watching the stars, it was his slice of heaven on earth.
After retirement from the electronic industry, Frankie could be found alongside Gale in their woodworking shop or participating with activities at the church. Frankie and Gale crafted and sold beautiful furniture for many years down at Canton’s First Monday. Never sitting idle he believed the Lord’s work was never done.
As a loving father Frankie was actively involved in all things with his son and daughter. He was a proud father, showing unconditional love, always found on the sidelines or sitting in the front row, cheering, coaching, and supporting them through all of life’s adventures. He was always there to share his wisdom on life, the Lord and growing up.
Frankie, you touched so many souls in your lifetime, may you rest in peace and know your work for God has been completed. We love and miss you already, know we are so very proud of you as a Husband, Father, and Child of God. Thank you, Lord, for giving us Frankie.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frankie Sr. and Laura Spross.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gale Spross; children, Amy and Tim Redmond, Kevin and Sherry Spross; grandchildren: Erin Spross, Emily Nunez and husband, Vincent, Jacob Spross and Dakota Redmond; sister, Stella Daniels and husband, Martin; brother, Gary Spross and wife, Lynn; sister in-law, Dale Roberts and her husband, David; and, a host of other family and friends.
